Curvo alternatives: MEDGE vs Curvo Backtest

Curvo does two things: Backtest, a free backtester for European index investors, and an app that invests for you for a yearly fee. MEDGE is neither a backtester of index histories nor a place to hold money: it analyses the portfolio you already have, US and European listings together, explains what drove each result and tests the shocks you define.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good alternative to Curvo Backtest?
For a European investor who wants more than a backtest of index histories, MEDGE analyses UCITS ETFs next to US listings and single stocks on their real price history, with attribution per holding, bear and bull regimes and the Stress Lab. For long-history allocation research, testfolio is another free option.
Is MEDGE a robo-advisor like the Curvo app?
No. Curvo’s app invests your money for a yearly fee (1% a year below €50,000). MEDGE never holds money or places trades: you enter tickers and weights, and it shows how the portfolio behaves and what you could change. You keep investing through your own broker.
Can I analyse UCITS ETFs in MEDGE?
Yes. MEDGE accepts European exchange listings, including UCITS ETFs such as VWCE, CSPX or IWDA, next to US-listed stocks and ETFs, and analyses each in its own trading currency.
